Kamakura Weekend 鎌倉の週末
The first weekend in Japan we spent with our Host Families and we did site-seeing in the Kamakura Area.The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha that is located on the grounds of the Kotokuin Temple. The statue was cast in 1252 and originally located inside a large temple hall. The temple buildings were washed away by a tsunami tidal wave in the end of the 15th century, and since then the Buddha stands in the open air. Several slight horizontal lines appear on it telling that it was a patchwork made with eight pieces of bronze. Even today's technology, however, can not find out precisely how it was cast and built.
私達が私達のホストファミリーと使ったおよび私達は鎌倉区域で場所見ることをした日本の最初の週末。鎌倉の大きい仏はKotokuin の寺院という理由であるAmida の仏の青銅色の彫像である。彫像は1252 年に投げられ、大きい寺院ホールの中に最初にあった。寺院の建物は第15 世紀のついに津波の高波によって洗浄され、それ以来仏は開いた空気に立つ。複数のわずかな水平線はそれが青銅の8 部分となされたパッチワークだった告げるそれで現われる。しかし今日の技術はいかに投げられ、造られたか正確に見つけることができない。
